Hi. I decided to create a blog as I venture into eliminating processed foods from my cooking. I find this to be necessary lately, with the recalls, the health risks coming out of the woodwork from our mysterious food, epidemic weight problems, and a slew of other problems. It has crossed my mind many times in the last five years to change out eating habits~with my husband's esophageal cancer (the upper type that they are now blaming on people's diet), my son's intolerances towards gluten and problems with gaining weight, my dieting to lose weight, and the number of times I see recalls and talk about hormones and pesticides and God only knows what else is in and all over my food. Now I want to move towards doing it.

What has held me up in the past is the cost and the time it takes to go natural!! That is why I have now decided it doesn't need to be all or nothing at this point, and I will continue to move towards it as I find tricks to save money and shortcuts to prepare those foods!

So here we go!!

  1. I like your theory and idea. I believe we can all eat healthier without buying special diet foods-whatever they may be and cost. I am a 60 some year old and very well remember how times were as a kid after WW11. Mom & Dad had a garden and canned. We kids helped with weeding, washing jars, taking trash out, whatever was needed. Lets all go after it with ideas and recipes.
